What causes Pigmentation?
Pigmentation is caused by an increase in melanin where it is the natural pigment that gives our skin, hair and eyes their colour. However, excessive presence of melanin will lead to a skin condition where patches of the skin turns into a darker shade of colour on the skin surface. There are a few factors that can trigger an increase in melanin production such as excessive UV Exposure, hormonal changes, age and skin injuries or skin inflammation.
Melanin production can also lead to freckles which are small brown spots on your skin. Overall, they are harmless, however, freckles are caused due to excessive sun exposure and they form as a result of overproduction of melanin and from ultraviolet (UV) radiation stimulation.

DOUBLE CLEANSING
Hanbang Skin utilises Double Cleansing as it is a popular technique in South Korea where it involves two different type of cleansers one right after the other. First, with an oil-based cleanser and again with a water-based cleanser. It can help remove stubborn, pore-clogging and acne-causing impurities that can remain on the skin even after washing your face once. The benefit of double cleansing is that the first cleanser will break down any makeup, remove dirt and excess oils from the day and clean your skin. The second cleanser will address your particular skin type or concern and should have ingredients to hydrate, smooth or exfoliate and treat acne.

EXFOLIATION
The next step of the treatment is Exfoliation where our treatment helps smoothes the skin's surface by sloughing off dry, flaky cells, which helps even out skin texture and reduces the appearance of discolouration. Have been with them for 1 year, my face has been improved a lot when mask is required for all outdoors. I remembered the time when I'm so worried on my pimples which keep popping out and ask for immediate slot. The staff is so friendly and tried their best to accommodate my request, quickly arranged for me. My beautician is Eileen, she's very attentive on my face and uses different treatments depending on my skin situation everytime. Also, most enjoying part is the massage part. Started my skin journey with Hanbang to rebuild my skin barrier and to fix my dry and sensitive skin. I’m a total convert to Hanbang since the first session as they had exactly everything I was looking for in a facial and maybe even better - no hard selling at all, face and shoulder massages with proper techniques (they are so good!), machines are being used for treatments and each session lasts minimally 1.5 hours. Just finished my 2nd session and I'm already a convert. My beautician is Fiona and she is very professional, catering each session to my skin's needs at that period of time and also taking the time to explain each procedure, the effects and the rationale. The extraction was not too painful and I ended up falling asleep during the masking session.
